Scott Marshall

Scott Marshall began his career making action movies (complete with firecrackers and ketchup) in his backyard at the age of ten.  He graduated from the film school at Northwestern University and received a Masters degree in the directing program from the American Film Institute.  From there, made music videos, directing for hit bands such as Smashmouth and Guided by Voices, as well as directing the 2nd Unit for numerous feature films including PRINCESS DIARIES, VALENTINES DAY and NEW YEARS EVE.

Scott made his feature film directorial debut with the critically acclaimed KEEPING UP WITH THE STEINS starring Jeremy Piven, Daryl Hannah and Jami Gertz, which won the Audience Award at the Aspen Comedy Festival and was released by Disney/Miramax.  He went on to make several feature comedies and has directed Luke Wilson, Jessica Simpson, Christina Ricci and Ann Margaret among others.

The first time Scott Marshall worked with his dad Garry was in 1978 when he was just nine years old.  The young Scott suggested to his dad that Fonzie on Happy Days should meet an alien and suddenly the spin-off Mork and Mindy was born.  Scott has been working along side and collaborating with his father in show business ever since.

In addition to directing movies, television and music videos, Scott also acts, writes and plays base guitar in the indie rock band Chavez.  He is currently directing episodes of Nick@Nite’s SEE DAD RUN starring Scott Baio.
