The Burbank Tournament of Roses Association is seeking approximately 12 people to dance and perform in the street along side its Oktoberfest themed float in the annual Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade on January 1, 2008.

From all the applications submitted, two will be picked who are currently paid members of the Burbank Tournament of Roses Association as of June 1, 2007. Eight people will be picked from all submitted applications (membership not required).

The Burbank Tournament of Roses Association is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that designs, builds and decorates the City of Burbank's entry into the annual Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade.

We are looking for individuals who can dance and perform to a German style Oompah band along side a Rose Parade float for 5-1/2 miles (about 2-1/2 hours). Individuals will be responsible for the following:

Must be 18 years old or older
Must be in good health
Must be able to complete the parade of 5-1/2 miles
Transportation to and from Burbank, California
Participate in rehearsals and practice sessions
Participate in costume fittings
Wear designated costume at float judging, the parade and any other designated events
Participate in a test drive(s) (approx. December 1 or 8, 2007 at 6:30 a.m.)
Participate in float judging (December 31, 2007 time: tbd)
Participate in parade (January 1, 2008 approx 5:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.)
Sign Release Waivers
Responsible for own food and lodging
Donate all services and performances without compensation

The parade and performances will take place on January 1, 2008 regardless of weather conditions.

The selected dancers will be announced on our web site in September 2007.
