The Burbank Tournament of Roses

The Burbank Tournament of Roses Association is seeking a German Oompah style band to perform and ride on its Oktoberfest themed float in the annual Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade on January 1, 2008.

The Burbank Tournament of Roses Association is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that designs, builds and decorates the City of Burbank's entry into the annual Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade.

We are looking for a band that consists of 6-8 members to ride on top of the float. The stage on the float is about 14 feet wide by 8 feet deep. The band and instruments must comfortably fit in this area.

The band will be responsible for the following:

Providing their own traditional German Oktoberfest themed costumes
- Costumes will be approved by the Burbank Tournament of Roses Association
Provide their own musical instruments
All members must be 18 years of age or older
Transportation to and from Burbank, California
Participate in a test drive(s) (approx. December 1 or 8, 2007 at 6:30 a.m.)
Participate in float judging (December 31, 2007)
Participate in parade (January 1, 2008 approx 5:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.)
Participate in pre-recording music and singing
- Music will be approved by the Burbank Tournament of Roses Association
- Burbank Tournament of Roses Association will obtain Song Writer releases
Sign Release Waivers
Responsible for own food and lodging
Donate all services and performances without compensation

The parade and performances will take place on January 1, 2008 regardless of weather conditions.

The selected band will be announced on our web site in September 2007.
