Judging scoring notes: There are two rounds that are scored; the third round is for tie-breaker purposes. The three judges use a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being best. Some categories are weighed more than others. The above chart lists which categories are weighted more and what the total combined score of all three judges per round are.

The weighted scores for Creative, Floral, Artistic Merit, Roses, Theme, Color, Non-Floral Effects and Dramatic Impact are used to determine the Sweepstakes, Lathrop K. Leishman, Mayor’s, Founders’, International and Princess’s awards.
