The City of Burbank is proud to present it's 73rd entry
(70th float) into the 116th annual Pasadena Tournament of Roses parade on
January 1st, 2005. The float concept was submitted by Bill and Carol
Cotter of Granada Hills, CA and Stacia Martin of Brea, CA in the annual Burbank Tournament of Roses
Association's annual Design Contest and was ranked number one by the Association's
members. |

Depicting the parade theme, "Celebrate Family" is
our bear family having a backyard barbeque. Papa bear is distracted
by a bee, the kids are having fun playing in the wading pool and mama bear
discovers "Dinner's On...FIRE!"
The color picture on the left is a temporary color rendering created as
a sample picture to present to City Council in April 2004 for their
approval of this project. The final color rendering will be created
after the Decoration Committee has finished with their meeting and decided
on all the decoration materials and colors.

To the right is the final color rendering. You can
click on the drawing to get a larger view of it.
Now you can see the changes that took place from the original submitted
concept, some idea that were considered, such as a stepped down front
section used in the interim color rendering to the final design,
with a fuller tree, sloped front end and picnic basket moved forward.
