The Burbank Tournament of Roses Association is proud to
present it's 71st (68th float) entry titled "Bathtime
Friends!" in the 114th annual Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade
themed "Children's Dreams, Wishes and Imagination" on January
1st, 2003.
To the left is the original concept drawing submitted by Burbank
resident, Julianne Buescher. Click on the drawing to see a bigger
version of it. |
The float depicts the parade theme of "Children's
Dreams, Wishes and Imagination" by having a small boy enjoying some
good, clean fun of playing in the bath tub pretending he is out in
the middle of the ocean with his sea creature friends the octopus,
dolphins, clams, starfish and a lobster.
The image on the right is the first line drawing, can you spot of
differences? This is part of the process of taking the concept and
making it into a float.
