The Burbank
Tournament of Roses Association is proud to present their 2000 entry,
"To The Future...At Full Throttle!". Based on the 2000 Pasadena
Tournament of Roses parade theme "Celebration 2000: Visions of the
Future". The float depicts comical birds scrambling to get out of
the way as the loveable pup rides a fantasy rocket "To The Future...At
Full Throttle!"
The float was designed by Burbank
resident Clark Jellison who also created the final color rendering seen
below. Clark's concept drawing was picked from over 100 submissions (top
left drawing) and went though various changes until a final set of plans
were created.
